Mrs. Michaelsen obtained a B.A. in education from Concordia University in River Forest, IL in 1985 and her MA in Early Childhood Education from Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, MI in 1990.  She has taught for 21 years (most of this in Kindergarten) but has also taught Preschool and 2nd grade.  She and her husband, Eric, have three daughters and a son-in-law.  Mrs. Michaelsen loves to spend time walking, shopping and playing with her dog, Cubby.  Having graduated from a Lutheran grade school and university, Mrs. Michaelsen loves being able to share the love of Jesus with her own students.  Mrs. Michaelsen is certified by the state of Illinois in Elementary Education K-9 and Early Childhood Education Infant-3rd grade.
 
Kindergarten meets at 8:20am-11:30am Monday through Friday and parents have the option of 1/2 day program or full day program with extended care from 8:00am-3:30pm.
