Carol Ball, 4th Grade Teacher

Mrs. Ball graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a bachelor's degree in elementary education.  She received her colloquy from Concordia University, River Forest, and became a called teacher in 1997.  This is her 34th year in Lutheran education.  Mrs. Ball also worked in the Westmont public school system for several years as a librarian.  She has educated children at Trinity since 1987 and has been the directory of the library for 22 years.  Mrs. Ball and her husband are also members of Trinity Lutheran Church.

"My inspirational quote is my favorite Bible verse: Revelation 2:10 'Be thou faithful unto death and I will give you a crown of life.' This is my confirmation verse. I have wanted to teach in a Lutheran school since I was in 2nd grade. My 2nd grade teacher inspired me. I want to teach, so I can share the love of Jesus, encourage my students to share that love, and let them know about their own 'crown of life.' When I hear a child say 'I learned ------ today' or 'I didn't know that' I feel I've accomplished something."  Carol Ball
